  25. Required Improvement Still to Come • A Separate REQUIRED IMPROVEMENT calculation at the INDEX Level for Campuses and Districts that DO NOT MEET the Accountability Target for the Index will be Considered for 2015 and BEYOND.

  26. Notification of Ratings Fall 2014 • August 1, 2014: • TEASE release of data • August 8, 2014: • Public Release of Data by TEA; Ratings Assigned • November 2014: • Finalized Accountability Ratings

  27. Appeals Not a Data Correction Opportunity • Only appeals that would result in a changed rating will be considered. A campus or district must meet all requirements for a higher rating in order for its appeal to be evaluated. • Appeals are NOT considered for the Accountability System Safeguard measures that may result in campus or district interventions. • Districts are responsible for providing accurate information to TEA. Data corrected during correction window will be included in determining accountability ratings.

  28. New County District Campus Numbers To Change or Not to Change – That is the Question! • TEA policy requires school districts and charters to request campus number changes of existing campuses for the current school year by October 1. • Must consult with the TEA Division of Program Monitoring and Interventions (PMI) to change a campus number of a campus rated Improvement Required. • Does not absolve the district of the state accountability rating history associated with campuses newly consolidated, divided, or closed, nor preclude the requirement of participation in intervention activities. • Required Improvement will not be available for campuses who change numbers.
