  2. About Abismo Negro… • Andres Alejandro Gonzales Palomeque--birth name • Born July 1, 1971 in Villa Hermosa Tabasco, Mexico • Abismo Negro translates to “Black Abyss”

  3. Career • He started out his career as the character “Little Samurai” in the 90 season • In 92, he entered the ranks of the CMLL as the character of “Fury” • In 1995 he was defeated by his former partner Super Calo • He continued to change his character up until the season of 97

  4. Career Cont… • The season of 97 is when he adopted the persona/character of The Black Abyss or “Abismo Negro” • Throughout the years and characters, he had many coaches such as Diablo Velasco, Rey Mendoza, Delio Soto, and Norweigan

  5. Career Cont… • His Black Abyss identity was created by Antonio Pena in 1997 • He was one of the first to appear in the WWE in agreement between American and Mexican Companies • He was well known for his use of illegal tactics • He even went to the extent of using fire in the ring

  6. Career Cont… • Belonged to Team Mexico in the United States • Won America’s X-cup 2004 with the TNA • He had frequent appearances on “Life TV” where he was given the nickname “Iron Attorney”

  7. Personal... • There are a couple different theories about his death... • One theory is that his death was alcohol/drug induced • This theory was swayed and pushed aside with the theory that he died due to a panic attack

Cont... • His body was found in a river near Mazatlan, at 1:30 pm on March 23, 2009 • Rumor says he was having a panic attack on a bus and made the driver pull over • Also, it is said that he sent a text to his wife saying he was lost in the hills by the river • The local coroner, Jesus Lopez, said that the anabolic steroids Gonzales was supposedly on at the time could have caused the attack
