  1. Abb. 5.15: Das R- (grau) und S-Enantiomere (beige) des Inhibitors DX9065a 5.33 binden mit nahezu gleicher Affinität an Trypsin. Da das Protein praktisch die gleiche Geometrie mit beiden Liganden annimmt, ist nur eine Struktur gezeigt. Die Kristallstruktur zeigt für beide fast identische Bindungsmodi. Die Säurefunktion am stereogenen Zentrum steht aus der Bindetasche heraus in das umgebende wässrige Medium und kann nicht zur stereochemischen Diskriminierung beitragen.
