  4. D.I.Y Report Assessment The D.I.Y Report Assessment is structured into three parts. This is so all components of the property are considered. 1. External assessment / site conditions. • 2. Structural Condition, both • externally and internally. • 3. Aesthetic Condition, both • externally and internally.

  5. D.I.Y Report Assessment, points system. At the end of each page there is a Point System to help you compare a number of different houses, quickly. Follow the instructions and you will see each section of the house is scored. At the end of the report there is a Final Rating given to the property. This can be used as a guideline to help make a final purchasing decision.

If your total score is between: 0 – 10 = The house can be considered Below Average 11-29 = The house can be considered Average 30-35 = The house can be considered Above Average Your general feeling about the property is very important, as only you know your goals & objectives.

  47. Conclusion At the end of the day when choosing a Building and Pest inspector, you need to be sure they can tell you more about the property than you already know. Only licensed and insured professionals can give you this information and it should be easy to understand.
