Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) Distance Learning Programs Offered M.B.A.(Executive) (Self-financed/part-time):-Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Granted approval for introducing MBA programs in distance Mode, JMI takes pride to be the first academic institution in dual mode category, CBSC semester system for the distance mode learners and will have the same curriculum syllabi and exam pattern as that of regular mode programmes as well:- Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) Distance Learning Admission Procedure The students applying for the various distance MBA courses at the Jamia Millia University (JMU) need to fulfill certain criteria. The eligibility criterion for Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), and Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Finance (BCIBF) is:- Candidate must have passed graduation or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized board. SC/ST/PWD students receive an extra 5% mark along with the above eligibility criteria (according to the norms of the Government of India).
The students are also required to qualify for the university entrance test which is usually conducted in the month of August. Along with these audio visual teaching and face to face contact sessions are also provided to the students for their better understanding and upliftment. Course Development Committee:This committee has been set up to look into the development of courses keeping in the mind the requirement of the changes relating to the syllabus. It also looks into the development of the self learning material. Help desk:For the grievances and any kind of academic related trouble the students are always encouraged to contact the authorities either by mail or by calls which are usually taken into account and are solved very fast. Library:Students are provided with Wi-Fi System in the campus so that they can have easy access to online educational resources of the Institution. Medium of Instruction: The Self Learning Materials and assessments are initially provided in English but the students can opt for others languages like Hindi or Urdu for their end semester exam papers. SMS alert service: The Centre of Distance and Open Learning of Jamia Millia Islamia University has an SMS Alert Service, through which the students can receive updates regarding academic activities and other programmes conducted by the University.
Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) Distance Learning Review & Ranking The University is awarded ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the year 2015. It is also been accredited by UGC, New Delhi. The Institute holds a membership and affiliations from Distance Education Bureau (DEB), Association of Commonwealth Universities, Federation of Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). According to the NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework) 2018 rankings by MHRD, Government of India, the University is ranked 12th among all the universities and 6th among all the central universities of the country. It is ranked in between 801-1000 by the Times Higher Education (THE) in the year 2017. The University in the year 2019 has been ranked in between 751-800 by the QS World University.
