  2. Why is assessment important? Assessment drives learning: it tells us what we’re good at and where / how we can improve

What you can expect from SOHCS • Assessments are scrutinised internally and externally • Marking criteria and guidance will be made available in a timely way • We have procedures to maximise the consistency of marking • We aim to provide individual constructive written feedback on summative assignments within four working weeks

  4. What we expect from students • To read the school handbook and assessment guidance on learning central as a lot of initial queries can be answered by doing this.
