  2. Liability insurance is a part of the general insurance system of risk financing to protect the purchaser from the risks of liabilities imposed by lawsuits and similar claims. It protects the insured in the event he or she is sued for claims that come within the coverage of the insurance policy. ... • Covers personal injury and property damage that can occur as a result of someone being on your premises or coming into contact with your business. $5 Million ($1,000 deductible) General Liability Insurance

  3. To insure property it owns, rents or leases. • Provides protection to buildings contents and stock against loss or damage from certain perils such as fire, wind and theft. • Applies to all clubs and the District. $25,000 ($1,000 deductible) Commercial Property Insurance

  4. This is a liability coverage that protects the directors and officers against claims made from others as a result of a financial loss. • It applies to the District Board, and all Clubs. • Directors and officers liability Insurance (often called D&O) is liability insurance payable to the directors and officers, or to the organization(s) itself, as reimbursement for losses or advancement of defense costs in the event an insured suffers such a loss as a result of a legal action brought for alleged wrongful acts in their capacity as directors and officers. Such coverage can extend to defense costs arising out of criminal and regulatory investigations/trials as well; in fact, often civil and criminal actions are brought against directors/officers simultaneously. $5 Million ($1,000 Deductible) Directors and Officers (D&O)

  5. This coverage protects the Club and District Boards and volunteers and includes the cost of defense except for that of the accused. There is no deductible on this coverage. $5 Million • Policy, Procedures, Training, Screening, Interviewing, and Police Checks must be in place. Abuse, Harassment, Molestation, Assault, etc – inappropriate behavior

  6. An auto that is used in connection with the named insured's business (Rotary) but that is not owned, leased, hired, rented, or borrowed by the named insured (Rotary). The term specifically applies to vehicles owned by Rotarians and used for Rotary business. • After personal insurance is depleted. • If a Rotarian or volunteer damages another car and someone is hurt, this insurance can kick in. $2 Million Non-owned Auto Insurance

  7. Sometimes Rotarians or volunteers suffer an accidental injury. They want their costs covered or reimbursed - such as medical, lost wages, etc. • Blanket accident insurance allows for a modest payout to be made quickly and is tied directly to the type and extent of the injury. A particular feature of this coverage is that it does not require a determination of fault to warrant a payout, so there is no need to dispute negligence. $100,000 Blanket Accident Insurance

  8. Voluntary Medical Payments is a coverage when a Rotarian unintentionally injured another person during Rotary activity. This will also provide coverage if the person is accidentally injured on your premises. Even when you are not legally liable this coverage is available. This is why it is called "voluntary". Some of the medical expenses included are ambulance service, dental, surgical, hospital, nursing, and funeral expenses. $25,000 Voluntary Medical Payments
