  14. Two Case Studies • US Internships • MSc with Work Placement

  15. US internships • Nottingham Business School has a track record of posting placement students in prestigious financial groups in the US. Primary employers include Merrill Lynch Private Investment Banking and CitiGroup Smith Barney. • This year 5 NBS students have worked (or will work) within these US-based investment groups. One James McManus (pictured) has received outstanding feedback for his work as a trainee analyst. • Interns operate on J-1 traineeships (visas) with appointed supervisors and distance-based supervision from programme teams at Nottingham Trent. • NBS engages in relationship management with employers and the School’s Head of International Affairs, makes an annual visit to corporate offices in Los Angeles.   16. MSc with work placement • Introduced at NTU in 2007/08 • Currently available for programmes in computing, technology & engineering management but plans for other areas • Unique model – lessons learned but employers asking for more!
