AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) • Passed by Congress in February 2009 • Provided funding for over 700 transportation improvements in Florida. • $1,349,735,003 was Florida’s share for Highway Infrastructure Projects. • First ARRA project Let in May 2009. • All ARRA funds had to be obligated by March 1, 2010. • All states met the deadline, so no redistribution occurred. • No ARRA funds can be obligated on new projects after September 24, 2010.
