  3. Tuesday Monthly calls & Log Grade Scroll through VSA to familiarize yourself with your students

  4. Wednesday Complete any monthly calls still not completed Grade Send no work email to all who have not submitted work in 7 days or more Call as many students as you can who have not been working-issue SSC warnings. Start with kids who have not worked in the longest time Scroll through VSA to familiarize yourself with your students

Thursday Make any calls you need to that are left over Typically have schoolhouse/goals meetings Grace Period Monitoring: track in VSA and email students who have not yet completed their work that is due Sunday Send Mail Merge Remind students on SSC plan their work is due by… Grade Scroll through VSA to familiarize yourself with your students

  6. Friday Grade Issue the majority of grades for the week so I will receive the majority of my new students on Monday Withdraw students who you suspended after 8pm that have not contacted you to get back into class-verify the SSC called them throughout the week

  7. Saturday/Sunday Take calls throughout the day Grade

  8. Some Variations and Tips Grace Period monitoring can be done on Thursday/Friday and even on Wednesday if you are going away for a long week-end Grace period monitoring follow up can be done very late Sunday night (11pm-12am) or Monday No work email/calls can be done Tuesday-Thursday (You want to send after Mon/Tues since most students work those days you will save yourself having to email so many kids if you wait but you don’t want to wait after Thursday because you are warning them about SSC and you want them to have enough time to get their work in You can chunk issuing your grades on the same day and that way can control when you receive new students-think about which day you would prefer to make welcome calls/second attempt calls Mail Merge can be sent any day of the week but I find by sending it out at the end of the week by that Mon/Tues you will have a good idea who is not going to respond to you and you can start calling them. If you send it Mon it may take most a couple days to respond which means you will be making calls to people that just haven’t checked their email yet-giving you more calls to make Take incoming calls/texts and answer emails daily Grading daily is advised so you don’t get overwhelmed Call new students the day you receive them Create SSC plans the day students come back to you from SSC-think about if you want their due dates to be on Saturday or Sunday

  9. Any questions? • Please let me know if you would like to see any of the emails I used to send out and if you have any questions or want to run any scheduling ideas by me to help make your schedule work for you don’t hesitate to contact me! • Nikki Foley • 904-466-0457 • nfgilbert@flvs.net
