  15. TOP 10 Reasons why eLarning projects fail Not having any well defined purpose: most education institutions do not have learning or e-learning programs in their top priority list. eLearning projects are not driven by the top management level employees . Projects not being encouraged or supported by the senior staff will mostly fail at the ground level. 2. Any e-learning course must be designed and developed by a team of technologists (for technical aspects) and pedagogues (content and learning process). Vendor monopoly. Solutions eXe Learning and Moodle 3. Anyone who is handling the eLearning projects needs to know the objectives of the program. This will enhance the scope for improvement and boost the learning process. 4. The learning objectives should be definitely in-line with the educational strategies and objectives. 5. Financial constraints. A lack of proper training budget planning can lead to sudden abandonment of such projects. www.aelsnet.net change4action.com Jens Schneider

  16. TOP 10 Reasons why eLarning projects fail 6. No Learning Management System mainstreaming. The LMS platform should be sturdy and useful at all times to engage learners suitably to the system. 7. eSkills Training not prioritised. Content created by teams that lack the actual understanding of the learning process. .The content creating team should possess thorough knowledge and understanding on the technology, web resources and the designing issues (process flow). 8. Social media is the new channel used by millions to collaborate and share information. Not leveraging social media in e-learning restricts users to share ideas and thoughts through social interactions. 9. The e-learning content is not flexible enough. If the content of the course is too rigid, it fails to provide the e-learners the flexibility to respond to the business change. 10. If the e-learning programs do not fall under the main business strategy of the institution or organization, this means that it is not valued enough by management. www.aelsnet.net change4action.com Jens Schneider
