  4. Mentoring ProgramCharge • Purpose: to provide a mechanism for transferring the accumulated career knowledge and experience of senior officer mentors to junior officer protégésto support their career development, professional growth, retention Dental Category

Mentor Training Expectations Contact protégé within 2 weeks of receiving notification from CCDMP of pairing Become familiar with and discuss the topics on the checklist (see Appendix A) Assist protégé in developing his/her individual development plan (see Appendix B) Interaction with the protégé a minimum of two times per month Be responsive to the learning needs of the protégé and be sensitive to the time and energy needed for a successful mentoring relationship Contact the CCDMP Chair at the earliest opportunity for any assistance that the mentor need or if any areas of conflict develop Return the 3 month and 12 month Evaluation Surveys within the designated deadlines with constructive feedback to further facilitate program development Dental Category

What plans of action will you have to take to get you where you want to be in five years (i.e. advanced degree, different job, different geographic location, different billet type)?
