Roseman‘s Appraisal Theory of Emotion
  • Roseman et al. (1996) developed an appraisal theory of emotion that is based on five different dimensions that affect the quality of the emotion:
    • Motive consistency
    • Approach-Avoidance
    • Certainty of outcome
    • Causality
    • Control-potential

We now look at each dimension and how their combination yield different emotions:
