An Interfaith
  • The recovery manual talks about an “Interfaith” which is not widely used but nevertheless is used. The Interfaith operates like an organization except it, may or may not have it’s own 501(C3) and mostly that it works with faith based only. Historically in a very small localized response this works. Notice that it works out of the circle. See slide below.

  • 4. Generally the resources come from member organizations; there are examples of the LTRC being guardian and distributor of funds received by the community
  • Has no formal 501(c)(3)
  • May or may not have administrative staff
  • To be successful, there still must be local Board oversight.

Long Term Recovery Committee
  • A LTRC “normally" does not have it’s own 501(C3) but uses others who have a 501(C3) that sets at the table. They use all resources whether faith-based or other. May not have a president, vice president, secretary etc.. Notice that the ones setting at the table works into the circle and offering resources as they are able. A committee may only have certain resources to bring to the table as they are the ones receiving the grants and/or findings. See slide below.
