Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially announced the launch of Honda CB300R models for India. The company gave this confirmation of the Neo Sports Cafe concept inspired Honda CB300R on Tuesday. The company also opened the bookings for the models in selected dealership across India. The price of this bike is estimated to be below Rs.2.5 Lakhs. The company also said in a release that this bike will be available for sale through the completely knocked down (CKD) route for the Indian market. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, HMSI commented on this by saying, “The CB300R will be Made-in-India and priced below Rs. 2.5 lacs (ex-showroom) for customers to experience Honda’s superior technology and a thrill of riding. We welcome all our customers for the bookings starting today.” This bike is powered by a 286 cc single-cylinder engine that produces an output of 30.9 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 27.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. According to the company, this bike is the lightest bike in the segment. In India, the Honda CB300R will be available in two colours - Matte Axis Gray Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red. Bookings are available at select Honda Wing World outlets across the country.

  2. Yadvinder Singh Guleria also commented on the performance of the bike by saying, "Driven by the need to discover and challenge new frontiers, the CB300R is for true enthusiasts willing to try new ideas and experiences. Not only will it add more adrenaline to daily riding, Neo Sports Café styled CB300R is sure to turn around heads on the streets.” Honda CB300R has been selling in the European, US and Thailand markets. This bike was first launched at the 2018 EICMA show in Milan. This attractive bike is can become a popular two- wheeler in 200-500 cc motorbike segments in India. This bike can also give serious competition to BMW G 310 R, as well as the KTM 390 Duke in India. The 200 cc – 500 cc motorcycle segment is becoming one of the fastest growing bike segments in India. The Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India (HMSI) had earlier introduced the Honda CBR250R but it did not see any updating for a long time. High volumes of this bike were sold, making it a success. With time the bike started to look old fashioned, but with the introduction of Honda CB300R, the manufacturers are eagerly waiting for its success. This bike is different from Honda CB250R in majorly three categories: 1. Styling: The looks of the bike has been updated. The new bike is far more stylish than the old one. 2. Power: The CBR250R gets a 249.6cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor. It makes 26.5PS at 8000rpm and 22.9Nm of torque at 7000rpm. The CB300R, on the other hand, gets a larger 286cc liquid-cooled motor. It makes 31.4PS at 8500rm and substantially more 27.5Nm of torque at 7500rpm. 3. Pricing: The CBR250R is available in two variants. The price of the non-ABS variant is Rs.1.65 lakh, while the ABS-equipped bike costs Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-Delhi). Honda CB300R will be less than Rs.2.5 lakh. There is a difference of less than Rs.45,000 from the old version, which is not too much for great features.
