  3. Course Description • This course is designed to teach basic alphanumeric keyboarding skills and techniques with an emphasis on speed and accuracy. • Introduction to formatting letters, tables and reports using word processing software will be introduced.

  4. Course Objectives and Outcomes • Use a keyboard with proper technique and reasonable speed and accuracy. • Perform simple document processing using word processing software

  6. Introduction Cont. * Building straight-copy skill • Warmups: each lesson begins with a warmup that reinforce learned alphabet, numbers and symbol keys. • Skillbuilding: includes a variety of drills to individualize your keyboarding speed and accuracy.

  7. Introduction Cont. • * Measuring straight-copy skill • Counts error • Determining speed (WPM) • Correcting errors (backspace, rows and delete) • Typing technique.
