  2. Most people frequently ask about event planning employment and what a planner does. According to Tyler Matkowski, it’s difficult to provide a concise response. While it is evident that they organize events, when you consider all of the activities that must be completed, you understand that event planner have a difficult job. An event planner plays several roles: An event planner’s profession requires a variety of skill sets. The needed attribute is determined by the stage in which they are with their client. Communication skills are employed, for example, while meeting with a customer in the hopes of winning that piece of business. You know, you only have one shot at making a good first impression.

COMMUNICATION IS A NECESSARY CHARACTERISTIC OF AN EVENT PLANNER: As I previously indicated, while attempting to improve a business’s performance, your written and verbal communication must be flawless. This is, in a sense, your sales pitch. You will also be required to give your customer a written proposal.

  4. M A N A G E M E N T O F F I N A N C E S : This occurs when an event or party designers must be math savvy. Frequently, their clients may declare their budget for a certain event. An event planner must organize or arrange an event while staying within a budget.

  5. An event planner collaborates with several vendors. And they are frequently called upon to bargain on their real estate loan. Anyone who has been involved in negotiations understands that it is a skill. Tyler Matkowski says that negotiation is not a “my way or the highway” mentality (some of our politicians could take note here). Negotiation, on the other hand, is the capacity to establish a compromise in which both parties feel they have accomplished a portion of what they set out to do. NEGOTIATI ON SKILLS Decision-Making Skills: The work is not for individuals who are incapable of making judgments. Event planners are frequently called upon to make on-the-spot decisions that might have a significant impact on the event itself.

  6. L E A D E R S H I P A “my road or the highway” mentality does not function well here. When effectively expressed, leadership is a trait that makes individuals want to work for you. A competent leader understands how to encourage their staff to accomplish the required goals. In my perspective, one of the most difficult traits to build in someone is leadership.
