  3. Why Do I Need to Take the MME? • Determines Student Growth for students from year to year!! ACT Explore 8thACT PLAN 9thACT Released 10thMME 11th • The MME is mandatory for juniors in the state of Michigan – all 3 days must be completed during this schedule (other Saturday ACT’s do not substitute) • ACT portion is college reportable– and is paid for by the state • It is a graduation requirementfor Carman-Ainsworth High School • Can earn exam exemptionsin senior year through MME only (voted student favorite!)

  4. What Does the MME Include? DAY1 • Tuesday, March 4, 2014 • ACT + Writing • English 75 items/45 minutes • Math 60 items/60 minutes • Reading 40 items/35 minutes • Science 40 items/35 minutes • Writing 1 prompt/30 minutes

  5. ACT + Writing – college reportable scores Report at 7:20 am to cafeteria Dismissed to Testing Room (info will be posted) Testing will be completed for most students by 12:15 *ACT Approved Accommodations may have different testing times. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 DAY1

  6. What Does the MME Include? DAY2 • Wednesday, March 5, 2014 • ACT WorkKeys • Reading for Information 33 items/45 minutes • Applied Math 33 items/45 minutes • Locating Information 38 items/45 minutes

  7. ACT WorkKeys NO LATE START – Buses will run at normal time Report at 7:20 am to Testing Room Testing will be completed by 10:45 am and classes below will meet in afternoon Hrs. 1st-3rd meet – lunch attached to 1st hour Wednesday, March 5, 2014 DAY2

  8. What Does the MME Include? DAY3 Thursday, March 6, 2014 • Michigan Items • Math 25 items/30 minutes • Science 49 items/35 minutes • Social Studies 48 items/35 minutes • May include any State of Michigan mandated High School Content Expectations not covered by the ACT.

  9. Michigan Testing – Math, Science and Social Studies Report at 7:20 am to Testing Room Testing will be completed by 10:45 pm and hours 4th – 6th will meet in afternoon Lunch attached to 4th hour Day 3 – Thursday, March 6, 2014 DAY3

  12. Attendance at MME Testing is CRITICAL! • It is critical that juniors are present to take the MME on the scheduled dates. Have parent CALL IN (591-3243) if ill. • Only ONE makeup session is scheduled (March 18-20) • All ACT testing guidelines MUST be followed – no exceptions!!

  13. Necessary Items for Test Days: • Photo ID – Driver’s License or School ID • Pencils/Calculator • Snack for break all days • Regular lunch on 3/5 and 3/6

  14. Testing Hints • Once a testing session ends – do not go back and bubble – entire MME Test will be voided. • Tests are timed – pace yourself. • Make sure you answer every question.

  15. Special Notes • Arrive on Time!!!Late Arrivals are not permitted to test and will be sent home! • Report to cafeteria on Day 1 • ABSOLUTELY NO Cell Phones/Electronics – leave at home or put in locker! • The entire MME Test is voided if cell phone/electronics are brought in the room!

  16. Preparation for Testing • Go to SLEEP early the night before testing! • Eat breakfast!
