Chapter 42 • Michael and Ron Ashley are heading to meet up with groups in Lynn, a town on the north shore • During the first group, Michael sits in and listens to them discuss HSN TV settings and problems • People in the next group discuss why they all subscribed and canceled the HSN programs • One man canceled because HSN only showed heterosexuals fornicating • They also begin discussing reasons and what they found wrong with HSN • The groups were called to make HSN an inextricable part of the in-home family experience.

  3. Chapter 43 • Michael returns to the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead • He and Ashley have a heated discussion about the consummate young professional hired by HSN who accused their agency of being biased. • Michael learns he is being played by Burt.

  4. Chapter 44 & 45 • Michael is upset by the idea that just like Yashima Brown ,his daughter will be victimized by the politicization of issues which are put of their control. • Hired new moderator, Amelia Harkins, who proved competent • Michael had diverse feelings about her. • The results of the meeting in Phoenix didn’t go as Michael expected • Michael plans to visit his brother and family • Trouble starts when Ronda Silver leaves for New York with two other executives • These are the times Michael regrets getting into the advertising business

Chapter 46 • Michael misses his family • He also wants to make adjustments to the HSN program • He is on a plane with Ron Ashley discussing his plans to win subscribers • They think about how advertising will help get buyers • Michael knows that VPS would danger the American family violence, profanity, and sex • He is distraught because his Catholic background doesn’t agree with the new advertisement ideas • He wishes to talk to Father Sweeney about the dilemma • He needs to prioritize and learn to put God and his family before his work.
