Art History III ANCIENT GREEK ART 2000 BCE – 338 BCE The arts of ancient Greece have exercised an enormous influence on the culture of many countries all over the world, particularly in the areas of sculpture and architecture. Their main goal was to depict the ideal human figure and architecture in perfect mathematical proportions. The Parthenon is perhaps the most well known example of Greek architecture and an example of the Greek ideals of structure.
