  1. Suggestions i'd give to a rookie traveler

  2. I've been globetrotting for 20 years. Having made a lot of mistakes myself, I do not want first-time travelers to suffer the same fate. Here are some tips from someone who knows what it's like on the other side.

  3. Don't worry, the world is a safe place!Remember, we're all in the same boat. Be brave and talk to people, you might make a lifelong friend. Make a SOLO trip Let go of your fear and step outside your comfort zone. Don't forget, you're not the first solo traveler.

  4. Don't go by online reviewsIt's easy to get overwhelmed by online information. But it's important to remember that they are often biased.Travel for yourself, not for social mediaRather than documenting every move on social media, enjoy your trip with new people and cultures.

  5. Travel light, travel smartLess is more when packing for a trip. You don't need to pack everything and the kitchen sink.Get a local SIMYou can connect with friends & family without worrying about the cost of international roaming.

  6. NEVER-EVER travel without insuranceTravel insurance lets you travel worry-free knowing you're covered if something goes wrong.
