An assembly is a time during the school day when children go into a big room. The children listen and learn from special people.
Sometimes the assembly can be crowded and noisy. Some children might get bumped into by other children. Some children do not like going to an assembly because this might happen.
I can do special things to make going to an assembly easier. Before I go I can put on my heavy fanny pack.
I can sit at the end of the row, so no one is too close to me at the assembly.
During the assembly I can squeeze my body and count to ten so I can relax and be calm.
During the assembly I can take deep breaths so I can relax and be calm.
When I am sitting and listening I can push down hard on my chair and give myself hugs.
When the assembly is done, I can stand up and stretch my arms high and take a deep breath.
