  1. Making Tunstall Healthcare’s Personal Alarms in Australia More Accessible Through Personal AlertSA Tunstall Healthcare’s personal alarms and monitoring solutions are made available to more Australians, specifically those who live in South Australia, through Personal AlertSA (PASA). Here’s what you need to know about personal alarms in South Australia and how you can start applying for PASA.

  2. What is Personal AlertSA? Personal AlertSA is a government project funded by South Australia that aims to improve eligible South Australians’ access to personal alarms and monitoring solutions. Through the initiative, the South Australian Government aspires to improve the lives of its constituents who need long-term medical assistance. Personal alarms and monitoring solutions are compact, handy devices people can easily carry around. These devices allow their wearers to call for help during accidents or emergencies. They are widely used by many Australians, as these devices empower people to live independently and safely in a place of their choosing. Can I get a personal alarm through PASA? Aside from being a South Australian resident, you have to meet a few requirements to be eligible for a personal alarm through PASA. You are also required to be at least 75 years, and you must also have a Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession card. In addition to the three items above, you must also be assessed and approved by My Aged Care for the following four items:

  3. 1. Commonwealth Home Support Programme2. Level 1 Home Care Package3. Level 2-4 HCP and not assigned an interim HCP4. Not eligible for an HCP What are the Tunstall devices available through PASA? At Tunstall Healthcare, we’re happy to provide South Australians with two personal alarms through PASA. Tunstall Gem4: 4G GPS Pendant The Tunstall Gem4 is a handy, monitored personal alarm for seniors we’ve designed to make calling for help easy, whenever and wherever it’s needed. Tunstall Gem4 features an easy call button that alerts our 24/7 Customer Care Team once it is engaged. The alarm’s GPS tracker sends your location to our care agent, who will use it to direct the necessary emergency units straight to you.

  4. Tunstall SmartLink Medi Guardian 4G: 4G Base Unit and Pendant The Tunstall SmartLink Guardian 4G is a home-based alarm. We will install it in your house so you can access help any time you need it. Simply press the device’s Help button if you need assistance. You will immediately be connected to our 24/7 Customer Care Centre, which will send help right away. The SmartLink Guardian 4G can also be connected to our Smartfall Blue pendant—our personal alarm equipped with a fall detection feature. How do I apply for a personal alarm via PASA?
