It is not wrong to say that the power of radio has been revoked by the mobile phones on various different levels. Since the advent of Television and music systems the importance for radio has been declining a lot. The arrival of mobile phones everywhere has increased the tuning into of FM radio channels more often these days.

  3. People were only used to listening to radio in their cars before now it has become a very common thing to listen to radio in bus, train and way home from work and while exercising.

Radio and FM stations is an important and a very major source for music, information and entertainment for loads of hearers everywhere in the world yet vast numbers of people are being denied the chance to enjoy FM radio. Almost all the smartphones on sale today come with built-in FM chips. Only one-third of smartphones have the feature activated. With the rise of digital radio, radio industry is calling for this to change. Broadcasters are insisting to have smartphones radio capable. It would allow users to listen to broadcasts without data charges, and could also prove a vital way broadcasting vital information during emergencies.

FM radio is the most reliable way of broadcasting emergency information during times of national crisis and by enabling smartphones with this capability would facilitate such messages to reach the people. Many cheaper mobile phones in the country come with FM radio activated. A fifth of the adults in major countries like UK and India claim that they listen to radio using mobile phones using apps rather than FM chips which is a great victory for that. Devices also comprise of the equipment to permit FM radio access as these are encompassed on the piece that similarly accepts Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless signals.
