  3. Our Mission To promote the awareness of latchkey youth amongst Wicomico County, through the education of parents, teachers and the greater Salisbury community. To directly impact the lives of underprivileged youth through donations which alleviate the stress associated with their school and after school lives.

  4. Our Vision Thousands of children come home to an empty, unsupervised house everyday after school, the more awareness that is brought to these underprivileged children, the more programs will be created to combat the latchkey issue from existing. It is our hope that one day “latchkey” will not describe any of America’s youth.

  5. Campaign Goals 1. Create awareness across Wicomico County of latchkey youth through social media education. 2. Create a network for parents of latchkey kids where they can seek help from teachers, fellow parents and after school programs already in existence that are free or affordable for low income families. 3. Provide donations to elementary latchkey youth whom would not otherwise be able to afford school supplies. As well as providing clothing for latchkey youth from elementary to middle school age.

  7. Canned Food/ School Supply Drive • Our event was aimed towards SU students donating to help the children in surrounding communities. With the supply drive we ended up with many canned foods and school supplies like pencils, notebooks, crayons, etc. to go toward helping young children whose parents can’t afford supplies for them every year.
