  2. The Story In February 1947, James and Robert Paschal opened a 30‑seat luncheonette at 837 West Hunter Street in downtown Atlanta, GA.

  3. The Story They decided that fried chicken would be the specialty of the house. Southern Hospitality and Robert’s secret recipe made it famous.

  4. The Story A new restaurant across from the original location, as well as a motor hotel and jazz lounge soon followed.

  5. The Story The jazz lounge became world renowned as some of music’s greatest artists, such as Dizzy Gillespie and Aretha Franklin, performed there.

  6. The Story Throughout the 1960's, Paschal's was an important meeting place for key civil rights leaders and strategists, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his aids.

  7. The Story Thousands from around the world have enjoyed the same home cooked flavor at one of the 2 restaurants which opened inside the Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport in September 1980.

  8. The Story In 2003, Paschal’s Foods, Inc. was created to bring the “History, Hospitality and Home Cooking” of Paschal’s to the grocery store shelf.

  9. The taste that you remember is now available at your favorite grocery store.
