In what way? • 3) Humorous Personal Narratives usually center around typical characters: helpless victim of circumstances crazy, high-strung, neurotic person naïve or innocent person • What type of character is in the model?   3. 4) HPNs are usually written in chronological order (1st, 2nd, 3rd…) Is the model written this way? How do you know? • 5) HPNs focus on a single event, with maybe some background. What happens in the model? • 6) HPNs are usually told in the 1st person point of view (I). Would it be different in the 3rd person. Would it be better or worse. Humorous Personal Narrative

  6. Grammar: • Noun: a word that names a person, place, thing, quality or idea. • Verb: shows an action, or state of being. May be made up of more than one word. • Adjective: modifies a noun or pronoun • Adverb: modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb. Tells how, when or where Humorous Personal Narrative

Mechanics: Commas • Writers use commas more than any other form of punctuation. • Between items in a series. • Replace the word and between adjectives • After an introductory group of words • To set off words that interrupt the thought • Separate sentences with a conjunction • Separate subordinate clause from main clause which follows.
