Datatronic Milestones Historical Summary • 1971: Founded by Paul Siu, in Hong Kong as a manufacturer of plastic molded enclosures. • 1978: Started producing Pulse Transformers and Delay Lines. • 1982: Started manufacturing custom magnetic devices for Switching Power Supplies. • 1984: Established certified supplier status with Xerox for Switching Power Magnetics. • 1986: Opened sales office in the United States. • 1989: Acquired Bourns Magnetics Div., located in Romoland California with all assets. • 1991: Moved primary manufacturing site to Shunde China (Guangdong). • 1994: Achieved ISO9001 certification in Hong Kong and ISO9002 certification in Shunde. • 1996: Approved by Delco Electronics to produce custom magnetics for the EV1 electric car. • 2001: Becomes a publicly held company on the Hong Kong stock exchange under DATRONIX • 2002: Achieved certification to QS9000 on May 20th, 2002
