  2. Facilities DataBase (FDB) – Strategic Goals • One valid source of Postal facility information for mailers and the Postal service • Comprehensive accurate inventory of Postal facilities • Consistent address, facility characteristics, products and services pertaining to a facility

FDB Data • Comprehensive accurate inventory of 40,000 Postal facilities • Established unique Facility ID • Permanent identifier for each facility • Supports information linking across postal information systems • Track facility categories • Customer Service (Delivery, Retail, SCF) • Mail Processing (Plants, Mail Processing Annex, PMPC) • Network Facilities (BMC, AMC,HASP) • Other (Warehouses, Field Offices, Engineering, etc) • Consistent address information • Static facility characteristics (Lobby config, directions, access restrictions, dock/loading detail, etc.) • Products/Services – products/services offered, pertinent product/service data, service hours, etc. FDB fully operational – April 2004
