The Life of Sir Francis Drake When he first traveled to the new world with his cousin John Hawkins. They and his crew were captured at the Mexican port, Drake and his cousin were the only ones to escape.

Why Did He Go! • Sir Francis Drake was a privateer for Britain. Which means he was a pirate for one country or nation. • He would fined ships with silver and gold and took there treasure for him and his queen. • He traveled with a total of six ships.
