  12. Interview__________________________________ Ms. Katherine Lameyer is a teacher at That’s Dancing. She allowed me to ask her a few questions about dance. She began dancing at the age of four. As she grew older she began to love dance. When she was around 11 or 12 years old she knew that she wanted to be able to have a career in dance. When she was around the age of 15 she became a helper at her dance studio and she knew she wanted to be a dance teacher. When she was in her twenty’s she was able to perform with a live orchestra, the Boca Pops, for a fourth of July celebration. She was able to perform in front of 1000’s. She said that this was one of the best things that has happened to her because of dance. One of her favorite things about dance is that in some pieces you get to become a character. She loves when she gets to turn into something she’s not. What inspires her to dance is being able to share with people. She likes to be able to express emotions to an audience and being able to see the faces of an audience change in front of you.

  13. Why I Recommend this Career Path__________________________________________ I would recommend a job in the performing arts career path because I feel as though in this pathway you have more freedom in your job. I feel as though in this pathway you are able to be creative instead of having to sit in an office all day. Instead of having to do paper work you could be dancing, singing, or acting. You are able to show people the artistic side of yourself. In these jobs you also may be able to show people a different character. You can be something your not. It is also satisfying being able to move an audience with a wonderful performance.
