Sample email • EMAIL TO BE SENT TO ALL INSTRUCTORS • TEACHING A COURSE WITH A KEY ASSESSMENT • Beginning Week 2 of the Semester • Dear Instructor, • You are listed as the instructor of record for a course this semester that has a Key Assessment associated with it. This email is to remind you that it is your responsibility to: 1) verify that educator preparation students in your course submit the Key Assessment evidence in Tk20, and 2) ensure that the evidence is evaluated in Tk20 by December 18, 2013 (due date for grades for the term). • If you have questions about the Key Assessment, please contact the Program Director associated with this course. If you have questions or need assistance with sending or evaluating assignments in Tk20, contact Theresa Dorn (Theresa.dorn@wright.edu or 775-2456) or JiaKempegowda (kempegowda.2@wright.edu or 775-2780). • Collecting Key Assessment evidence from students/candidates and completing the evaluation process in Tk20 is critical for maintaining our programs’ national recognition, our NCATE accreditation, and our Ohio Board of Regents approval to offer each educator preparation program.  Moreover, the data helps us gauge the degree to which our candidates are achieving our intended learning goals and helps guide curricular changes and improvement. We thank you for your cooperation in this important process. • Please do not hesitate to call me, Theresa, or Jia if you have questions. • Tammy Kahrig, Ph.D.Assistant Dean for Assessment and Accreditation417 Allyn Hall Dayton, OH  45435-0001(937) 775-3584tammy.kahrig@wright.edu • Theresa Dorn • Coordinator of Assessment and Accreditation Research • 419 Allyn Hall • 3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy. • Dayton, OH  45435 • Phone (937) 775-2456 • Fax (937) 775-4855 • theresa.dorn@wright.edu
