  6. Aim /Objectives • Develop a Model and Methodology for Primary School Education in partnership with village communities, state government, local Institutions and individuals • Upgrading quality of teaching-learning environment • Improve existing School Infrastructure Facility

In this project there were components like basic infrastructural facilities, quality improvement in teaching, concern for environment, science promotion and integration of villagers, teachers and students with each other. As part of these processes, my relationship with the school has grown. This change is due to Anandshala project. Learning • To establish physical facility and sustain them software support is crucial and should be an integral part of the project. • Instead of tendering/contracting, delegating responsibility to teachers that brings in • Transparent in the system • Quality • Sustainability • Ownership and • Local contribution • Developing right perspective and minimum standards among teachers and Panchayats lay the basis for use of funds for appropriate care and maintenance of facilities.

Learning • Linking classroom curriculum with exposure trip is very effective tool / method to generate and sustain interest among teachers and children. • Informal vacation educational activities improve enrolment and retention. • Networking and liaison with appropriate agencies and individuals results in multipliers. • PRA and collective visioning exercises with technical inputs help improve and sustain quality of physical facilities. • The project implementation process working at / communicate at several levels has helped mainstream the concept.
