  • Goal: practice the TEAM TEACHING model
  • Pair up with someone from your teaching team, and then join a group with another pair (4 people/group total)
  • Objective: SWBAT explain the binary number system and convert between decimal and binary numbers up to 8 bits
  • 8 minutes to plan how to present the new material (lecture) + demo an example (3 minute lesson)

  • Rules:
    • While one teacher is speaking, the other should be writing on the “board” (paper).
    • The observing team can signal the teachers to switch roles by shouting “Switch!”. This can happen up to 3x throughout the lesson.
  • Afterwards, discuss what worked well (particularly during transitions), what felt unnatural or didn’t go as planned, and the specific things that need to be planned out ahead of time
