The New Level I • Designed to be a truly comprehensive introduction/orientation to Civil Air Patrol • Designed to facilitate new member assimilation into the unit through structured interactions • Gives the unit and new member a “plan of action” for both to use through the first 18 months of membership Citizens Serving Communities

  10. The New Level I • Design: • Blend of online and in-residence • Taught by unit PDOs • Combines old “Foundations”, CPPT, Safety and EO into one cohesive whole • Allows unit commanders to validate completion online for most completions Citizens Serving Communities

  12. The New Level I • Online lessons first (preferred), then in-residence component • All online lessons mandatory • Some in-residence components optional Citizens Serving Communities

The New Level I • Online lesson components • 5-15 minutes each • 10 question quiz at the end • Total time for online lessons: about 3 hours • In-residence components • Completed by block in 3-5 weeks or in one half-training day • Total time 2.33 hours to 4.42 hours depending on the mix of mandatory/optional in-residence instruction Citizens Serving Communities
