Healing is a subset and tangible reality of redemption Mat 11:5 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.   8. Sometimes healing comes in stages Some Christian traditions insist that all miracles and healings were instantaneous and complete. Scripture does not support this notion. Questions 795-7587

Contend for healing After being healed, I had to reevaluate how much of my life was centered on being sick. • Doubt that I was permanently healed • My perception of medicine • Emotional comfort • Defense for uncertain future • How I spent my free time • Research double disk replacement surgery • Pain management strategies • The basis of some of my relationships • Discussions revolved around our illnesses, pain and medications • My day had important intervals based on taking medications. Summary • Sickness is a byproduct of sin. • In redemption there is forgiveness and healing • Healing is a tangible reality of redemption and the influence of the Kingdom of God • Christians given the ministry to forgive and to heal • The ministry of healing gifts takes many forms • The gift of being healed sometimes requires vigilance Questions 795-7587
