  5. 4 Launch the remote desktop Choose ‘Desktops’ Click ‘CC4 anywhere Desktop’

  6. 5 Remote Desktop • You will then be presented with a remote desktop. • This computer login exists on a server in the main school, you are able to control it through your internet connection. • You are able to see and use • Your user area • Staff share • Microsoft Office • SIMS • Serif design suite • ActivStudio • Smart studio • Other applications can be added by informing James Thynne

  7. Troubleshooting • If you can not launch the remote desktop (common problem for Windows 7 64bit edition, download the Citrix Client from here • http://www.citrix.com/English/ss/downloads/details.asp?downloadId=2315305&productId=1689163 • If this does not work, see James Thynne

  8. iPad • The remote desktop can be used from an iPad. • Go to the App Store and search for ‘Citrix Receiver’ • Once installed, you will be able to launch the remote desktop in the same way as on a computer through the Safari web browser
