Delivery and assessment (anywhere) • confidence in outcomes by industry and employers is paramount • achieving ‘quality’ as fit for purpose • assessment of competency as defined • competency must be demonstrated to the standard required in the workplace and covers all aspects of workplace performance including: • performing individual tasks; • managing a range of different tasks; • responding to contingencies or breakdowns; and • dealing with responsibilities of the workplace, including working with others.
Delivery and assessment (anywhere) • competence cannot be achieved through a simple or single learning experience • evidence must be gathered from extensive practise and experience in productive work situations • ‘productive work’ means that all typical workplace vagaries are present and contingencies met • apply RPL as it was meant – as a risk-managed exercise • Deal with English language issues as they would apply in Australia
