  1. How Do you remove volatile contaminants from the soil? Soil treatment to remove volatile contaminants from soil was developed because of this growth in industry. Soil contains a mixture of minerals which include calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. Soil treatment is used to remove volatile contaminants from soil which includes oil, grease, hydrocarbons and other organic chemicals. Soil treatment is not only used for sites with chemical spills but it can also be used for sites contaminated with other materials such as petroleum, solvents and pesticides. Soil treatment services are the most effective way to remove volatile contaminants from soil and they use several strategies depending on what substance has contaminated the land or water site. Soil is made up of clay particles, sand, silt and humus which is organic matter, as well as dead and living microorganisms. Soil treatment processes must work to remove or destroy the contaminant which will then allow for the reclamation of the site to take place. Soil treatment is very important because it allows for a safe site to be restored with minimal impact on the environment and public health.

  2. Soil treatment services start with a thorough site assessment to discover what chemical has contaminated the area. Soil treatment procedures are done in steps which include excavation, on-site hydrocarbon removal, soil washing, cementation or solidification and then restoring the topsoil back into place. Soil is excavated using large machines which are capable of removing large volumes of soil depending on how large the site is.
