The Start of WWII: The War Unfolds and Its Global Consequences

World War II marked a catastrophic chapter in history, leading to an estimated 50-70 million deaths. Initiated on September 1, 1939, with Germany's invasion of Poland, the conflict reshaped nations and ideologies. The Nazi regime, led by Hitler, aggressively expanded, collaborating with the USSR under a nonaggression pact. This period saw cities reduced to rubble as Britain and France declared war in response to Nazi aggression. The war’s devastating impact was felt globally, forever altering the course of history and leaving a legacy of destruction and resolve.
