  1. Famous Monuments in Montenegro Montenegro is a Balkan country with rugged mountains, medieval villages and a narrow strip of beaches along its Adriatic coastline. There are various famous Monuments and Landmarks of Montenegro where I suggest you must visit and explore. 1. Kotor Fortress The town partitions date from the early Middle Ages. They constructed a citadel above Roman Kotor or Ascrivium in 535 beneath neath the guideline of thumb of Justinian I after having expelled the Goths. These partitions had been declared a World Heritage Site in 1979 in conjunction with the relaxation of the town.
