Governor’s Budget continued last year’s… • Early Literacy/Multi-Tiered System of Supports (C4K) • $8 million request to take teacher:literacy coach ratio from current level of 154:1 to desired state of 48:1 (100 coaches across the state) • Teacher Leadership & Compensation (TLC) • $1 million request to ensure statewide training; consistency • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics • $2 million request to fund 25 additional coaches; taking ratio from 415:1 to 320:1 • Competency-Based Education • $720,000 request to fund 1 FTE in each AEA to implement CBE w/ fidelity Recent Interest: • Mental Health needs; GWAEA has a request in of $1.5 million to provide help for their districts; watching closely
