Advancing IEDA: Community-Driven Data Services for Solid Earth Research

The Integrated Earth Data Applications (IEDA) initiative enhances access to diverse observational data from the Solid Earth, including geophysics, geology, and geochemistry. Funded by NSF, it manages terabytes of datasets, including thousands of investigator-based datasets and numerous data types and acquisition methods. IEDA prioritizes community responsiveness and the provision of high-quality, trusted data through reliable services. Features include data stewardship, metadata standards development, synthesis databases, and educational outreach tools to support active domain scientists and facilitate effective data management.
