The Clearing House • Manages a waiting list • Matches rough sleepers to flats It is made up of: • Approx 4000 properties • Studio flats and one-bed flats • Housing Association properties You will receive: • A Fixed term tenancy for 2 years, which will be renewed if you still require support. • TST support to live in the flat

  3. TSTs - What are TSTs? TSTs are Tenancy Sustainment Teams They will help and support you to work towards your goals. • General support needs • Education, Training and Employment • When you are ready, they will discuss move-on options with you

  5. TSTs - education, training and employment If you are considering training or employment they will assist you with: • Courses or training programmes • Applications • Career advisers • Job search • In work benefits • In Education benefits

  6. TSTs - move on TSTs will help you to: • Review your support needs, and assist you to renew your tenancy if you still require support • Recognise when you are ready to move • Understand the options • Access independent accommodation • Get ready to move

Is this for me?Eligibility • A verified rough sleeper on CHAIN • Require some support to maintain a tenancy • Willing to work with the TST • Understand that you have a tenancy for as long as you need support (A fixed term AST, renewed every 2 years) • Expected to move when you no longer require support • Encouraged to attend TB screening

  8. What Happens Next?Being referred to the Clearing House Your current worker will submit a Clearing House application form. This will identify: • Support needs • Future work with the TST • Where you want to live (at least 2 Boroughs) • Mobility issues or a disability • Pets • Partner

  10. What happens Next?Getting an offer of accommodation… • Nomination • Meet with TST/Housing Provider • Viewing & Decision • One nomination only • Refusing a nomination • Appealing a decision • Accepting a nomination

  11. The Future After 18 months, there will be a tenancy review This will result in two options: • If you continue to need support your tenancy will be renewed for a further fixed term 2. If you no longer need support your TST will help you to move on to a PRS flat
