  4. Why should the problem be worded as a question?

  5. You are setting out to solve a question that you are curious about.

  6. Why is important to be curious in science?

  7. Curiosity leads to asking questions.

  8. What is inference?

  9. The ability to figure problems out before you start because you already have a world of experience in your life up until now.

  10. Is observation accurate? Why?

  11. No many people see and perceive differently.

  12. What is research?

  13. Collecting information about the topic of the experiment from other valid sources before you start an experiment.

  14. Why is it important to have a repeatable experiment?

  15. If the same conclusion is obtained then it becomes a scientific fact.

  16. What is a theory?

  17. Something that has probably occurred because there is a large body of evidence that shows is probably did.

  18. Explain what the two types of variables are.

  19. Independent is what is being manipulated. • Dependent is what occurs because of the independent variable.

  20. What is the difference between qualitative and quantitative data?

  21. Qualitative is gathered through observation and quantitative is numerical. • Qualitative can be recorded as a chart. • Quantitative can be recorded as a graph.

  22. What is the correct way to record a conclusion?

  23. State WHY you got the results that you did.
