  2. Definitions • Security: Freedom from doubt, anxiety, or fear; confidence. • Liberty: A right or immunity to engage in certain actions without control or interference: the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights.

  3. Facts & Stats • 72% of employers checked employees emails • 51% of employers review employees phone calls • 81% of those polled in 2002 state the right to privacy to be essential • 92% of respondents with household internet access do not trust internet companies to keep personal information confidential
