  1. Anti-Semitism and Europe in the 16th Century

  2. What is Anti-Semitism? Anti-Semitism has and will always be a part of our lives. It’s sad to say that humans act this way but we do. An example of anti-Semitism that most of us know and would like to forget is, Hitler with the Nazi's. The meaning of Anti-Semitism was and will always be about Jews; the hate towards them, discrimination and they were taken advantage of in many different ways.

  3. Places in Europe that were effected with Anti-Semitism For example; The Netherlands: The Jewish society has began to arrive in Amsterdam in large numbers from Germany and Eastern Europe, especially Ukraine between the 15th and 18th. However, before arriving 100 000 Jews were slaughtered by the Ukrainian peasants during the KhmelnytskyUprising. Spain: Spain is a country that took care of the Jewish for quite a while. However, during the end of the 15th and early beginning of the 16th century. Jews were expelled from Spain manly because the Christians didn’t like and didn’t want the there anymore. Europe has been affected everywhere by Anti-Semitism. It is something that has been going for century's with the Jews. They have been discriminated and disrespected in many ways.

  4. Places in Europe that were effected with Anti-Semitism In Italy: A mob burned down the local synagogues. Cruel and very disrespectful. It was en embarrassment for the Christians to see a Jew walking on there streets. Venice: The 15th and early 16th centuries ,until 1516. No Jews were allowed to live anywhere in the city of Venice for more than 15 days per year; so most of them lived in Venice's possessions on the terra firma. At its maximum, the population of the Ghetto reached 3,000. In exchange for their loss of freedom, the Jews were granted the right to a Jew's coat (the colour yellow was considered humiliating, as it was associated with prostitutes). The gates were locked at night, and the Jewish community was forced to pay the salaries of the patrolmen who guarded the gates and patrolled the canals that surrounded the Ghetto.

  5. The refuge for the Jews in the 15th hundreds Poland: Poland was very important in the 15th hundreds. Poland was a very big part of the safety for the Jews. The Jews seek refuge in Poland and from all the discrimination coming from most areas in Europe. For them it was a place a zen, a place where they can build and start a company or a little market, however, the main opportunity was to start a family in peace.

  6. Why was Anti-Semitism a curing in Europe in the 15th hundreds? Jewish Christian Religion played a real big part in the old days and it effected all religions in different ways. The Christians really didn’t like the Jews. For many reason, for example; they would take jobs, there religion, there beliefs and etc. the Christians really didn’t like sharing and giving stuff to people that had a different belief then they did. And in some cases they would kill people from the other religions. Especial the Jews.
