What does a dual intake do

The Cleveland 2V intake manifold is a great design choice for engines that need high flow capabilities. This manifold is designed to maximize airflow and minimize noise and vibration for superior performance and reliability. Each port operates independently or in groups for added flexibility and performance. It comes with aluminum construction and includes four

You Can Buy from This Link Below u2013

https://www.totalperformance.net.au/351C-2V-Dual-Plane-Intake-Inlet-Manifold-Performer-Satin

Direct Approach - 1800 351 351 or (03) 9362 0266

 1. What Does A Dual Intake Do? One of the first modifications that many enthusiasts end up making to their engines is the installation of a performance intake and carburetor.

 2. A dual intake manifold has 2 different plenums that feed only four of the eight cylinders, whereas a single-plane intake manifold does have a single, open plenum that sustains all eight cylinders. A dual-plane intake divides the plenum of the manifold into two sections. A dual-plane intake connects each plenum as well as four intake runners to every other cylinder in the engine's firing order. As a result, each side of the manifold receives pulses from every other fuel tank in the firing order. This prevents the prior mentioned back-pressure pulses from entering the plenum and causing reversion. Whereas a single-plane manifold sees overlapping pulses every 90 degrees of the crankshaft rotation, a dual-plane manifold just sees a pulse induction every 180 ° of the crankshaft rotation.

 3. Dual-plane intake manifolds have longer intake runners and are therefore ideal for low- to mid-range power performance. The overall style of a single plane is better suited to producing high-rpm power. A dual-plane intake's smaller plenum promotes power production at lower rpm.

 4. To keep it simple, most street cars benefit from a dual-plane intake because they typically operate between idle and 5,500 rpm. Because a racecar spends the majority of its time at 6,000 rpm or higher, an intake with an rpm range that takes into account that situation (i.e. 3,500 - 8,000 rpm) is required; this is where a solitary intake gets into play.
