  1. How To Fix A Slow Toshiba Laptop?

  2. A slow laptop in our fast and busy schedules is a concern that cannot be taken lightly. Most of our laptops become slow after a certain period of time because of the software and not because of the hardware. There might be a problem in the hardware also, but most of the times it is the software that creates problem. Some of the problems in the software can be rectified on our own. For example disk gets fragmented, so the information on the hard drive gets stored in various parts, we can do disk defragmentation to resolve it. This way there are many issues that can be resolved. So let us begin fixing the issues:

Disk cleanup: • Open the disk cleanup program by opening the Start menu>All programs>Accessories>System tools>Disk cleanup. • Choose the hard drive that you want to clean up and then press the OK button for continuing the cleanup. • The tool will calculate how much space and storage you will get after deleting the temp files, clearing the cache and compressing the files. Performing all this will make more space and will enable the system to carry out processes faster.

  4. Go to the More Options tab in the disk cleanup Window and then press on cleanup in the Window components section. Here, you may wish to select the Windows components that you want to disable. • Now press the Cleanup button in the Installed programs section. Here you may wish to select the programs that are no longer used by you. You can uninstall the older programs that you do not use anymore.

  5. Open the System Restore section and now again click on the Cleanup button. All the recent backup files will be deleted so they will no longer occupy unnecessary space on your Toshiba after getting deleted. • Press the disk cleanup tab and choose the files that you want to delete from the Files to delete section. Press the OK button and then take your exit from the Disk cleanup.

  6. The disk Cleanup will clear all the unnecessary data from your disk and now you laptop will be much faster than before.
