  2. Main character • The man： The man in the story loved animals very much.At first he loved the black cat deeply. Eventually,he became a heavy drinker,and killed the black cat and his wife.The world of his heart was unknown. • The wife： A woman with a kind heart to animals as her husband did, but later … .. something wrong happened……

  3. The first cat： This cat named Pluto was a large black cat. It was a beautiful animal, and it was also very clever. The man loved it very much, and it followed him everywhere. • The second cat： With an unidentified origins this cat looks just like Pluto. It was taken by the man from a bar. And it had a white mark on its chest.

  4. Questions • 1.Why did the man became a heavy drinker? • 2.Why was there still one wall standing still after everything was burned ? • 3.Why did that white mark become a shape like gallows? • 4.Why did the second cat disappeared ?

  5. 5.The man didn’t treat the second cat very well, but why did it still fellow him everywhere ? • 6.Why did the man wants to kill Pluto?
